Thoughts on the Vertical World

It's amazing how much a little relief in the landscape can change life so drastically.  The mere difference between the two dimensional and three dimensional creates beauty and majesty.  It also creates physical challenges.  Suddenly a task as simple as walking becomes difficult.  Through the challenges and difficulties, mundane experiences become extraordinary.  New opportunities and perspectives become apparent, and through it all we come to know ourselves and those around us more fully.
